SSI Millwork & Fence is a locally owned independent millwork distributor and fence retailer serving the building and remodeling industry in South-Central Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.
HISTORY
Southern Steel opened for business in 1975 selling building materials and fencing. In 2005, the company was purchased by Al Steward and was renamed Steward Steel. After hurricane Katrina in August 2005, door unit production was started. In 2016 the business was sold again and renamed SSI Millwork & Fence. Today, Co-Owners L.J. Meynard and Robbie Higginbotham are proud of the quality and service SSI Millwork & Fence offers its customers.

Fencing products are sold both wholesale and retail direct to the community. We have an extremely experienced staff to help you with all your fencing needs. Our recently expanded warehouse allows us to stock more products for quick pick up.
Doors are sold wholesale through our select dealer network. Our talented door specialists can customize your door to your unique style and vision.
We have recently embarked on another expansion project to substantially increase our capacity for interior and exterior doors.
